Core Skills Registration Form
For many opportunities at ASAAP, Volunteers must complete Core Skills Training, Programme-Specific Training, and On-the-job Training.
Core Skills Training includes Outreach Training, one type of Programme-Specific Training at ASAAP.
Register here for the Fall Session of Core Skills Training! For all volunteers who are new to ASAAP, or who want to brush up their skills from their last Core Skills Training, this interactive, 3-day training will allow you to develop an understanding of
a) the biology of HIV/AIDS including transmission, prevention, and risk
b) the sociology of HIV/AIDS, including stigma, resilience, and community support
c) volunteering roles at ASAAP
d) community outreach techniques, skills, and practices
Core Skills Training is offered 3 times a year (Winter, Spring, and Fall), and opens up opportunities for volunteers to participate more extensively in ASAAP’s programming. Volunteers must attend all three days in order to successfully complete the training.
Refreshments include a light breakfast and lunch. TTC Tokens are available for those who need them.
Please note that prior registration is required, and seats are limited.
