  • November 29, 2011 - Welcome Shazia Islam, ASAAP's new Women's Health and Support Coordinator. Shazia is a long term volunteer and member at ASAAP committed to building safe spaces for South Asian HIV poz women in Toronto. As an HIV/AIDS, anti-racism, and gender equity activist, Shazia has developed workshops, art and was a Global Village performer and participant at the 2010 International AIDS Conference in Vienna. She is a graduate of Political Science and Women’s Studies from the University of British Columbia and is currently pursuing her diploma in Advanced Journalism at Humber College.
