ASAAP’s Protect Your Love Video gets over 9,000 hits in 20 days!

With over 9,000 hits in the first 20 days, ASAAP’s Protect Your Love video is scouring the web like wildfire. The campaign focuses on South Asian men who love men with a message of safer sex framed in a way that clearly resonates with many.

The PSA features vignettes of four South Asian male couples in situations where they protect each other – either from traffic, overflowing tea on the stove or bullying. The last scene is of a couple using a condom – another form of protecting those you love.  It’s a simple and effective message beautifully depicted with amazing actors, cinematography and voluntary efforts of many involved.

Interwoven with values family, community and protectiveness, ‘Protect Lour Love’ sends a safer sex message better digested by a general South Asian audience and compliments the bold in-your-face sexuality that already exists.

Predominantly shared via social media channels, the campaign has already received over 9,000 viewers on YouTube, has been covered on global blogs such as Osocio.org,   TiredBees.com in the U.K, Queerty.com and Towleroad.com  in the States and the iconic AfterElton.com. SouthAsianParent.com, positivelite.com, Trikone.org and MyBindi.com are other audience specific media hubs that are reaching out with accolades, not to mention all the shouts outs and love received on Facebook and Twitter.

If you haven’t seen it yet where have you been? Watch it, share it and spread a message of love and safer sex:
